In line with the Mapna Group’s macro objectives, a project was defined and implemented for arranging the Group’s strategies in collaboration with Palladium Company. In order to advance the strategies at the level of subsidiaries and to transfer up-to-date knowledge in this regard, eight subsidiaries, representing the Mapna Group’s existing business involvements, were selected as the sample for strategy advancement by Palladium Company. After that, the knowledge and the expertise of this project were transferred to Mapna Management Consulting Company and it was decided that strategy advancement should also be conducted for other subsidiaries by this company. This led the Mapna team to design and develop its strategies based on the XPP method. The core of this method is based on the model presented by Kaplan and Norton in their last book the Execution Premium. There are six stages in XPP methodology for strategy implementation, as illustrated in the following diagram. The important point about this method is consistency between the stages. It means that there is a reciprocal relationship between these stages and they are not entirely separated. Another important point is that not all the processes are considered in the revision of strategies but, depending on the case, only some of the phases in the cycle are reviewed. For example, the feedback may indicate that executive plans are not well defined in relation to a certain strategy and that they need revision.
