Among the most important factors of organizational success are the quick and accurate circulation of information in large organizations and the directing of spontaneous and often taste-oriented activities and decision-makings toward systems that are based on accepted and common standards. Basically, the scope of data that must be exchanged in factories and large organizations is to the extent that it is impossible to ensure their authenticity in the absence of an integrated information system. Very often, under the impact of certain conditions and due to different interpretations by producers, received reports differ from one another and thus mislead management in analyzing the data and making appropriate decisions. Today, the development of information and communication technology has led to the formation of digital economy or e-commerce. This new phenomenon has made it even more difficult for companies to compete and remain in the economic cycle. In such circumstances, only organizations that are ready for the challenge and can quickly acquire the necessary tools for adapting to chance will be able to survive and succeed.
ERP software packages can be a shortcut for organizations to benefit from the aforementioned advantages. In this method, instead of programming and developing information systems, an organization deploys pre-made information systems and standard applications based on procedural methods. ERP stands for Enterprise (economic institute) Resource Planning. It refers simply to “a software solution that attempts to homogeneously define and develop all organizational activities (both line and staff) in a single software system that provides all units with their business and informational needs”. In scientific terms, ERP refers to a system that mechanizes an organization’s business processes by reference to the workplace, data, databases and a homogeneous programming language in the fields of fiscal issues, sales, purchase, warehouse, production, and human resources.
ERP software package is the outcome of more than 40 years of experience and trial and error. Due to continuous technical improvements in organizational management and the rapid growth of information technology, the package itself also had an evolutionary process. Standard ERP packages are implementable and operational in any organization in a very short time, which is only needed for system localization.
In order to create integrated information systems in the Mapna Group, Mapna’s Rafsys Center selected SAP Company – because of its characteristics¬ – as the ERP’s premier solution and is now installing this system in the different organizations of the Mapna Group.
- Development based on ASAP methods
- Training key users for the operation of the system
- Setting up the system according to customer demands with minimal deviation from the procedures
- Verification of the compliance of processes with the decision-making state
- Transferring of data from the existing systems to the SAP system
- Identifying organizational processes, matching them with ASAP methods, and providing proposals for change
Supervision of SAP Projects

In many different ways, the implementation processes of homogeneous systems, especially resource planning systems, are very complex because many issues such as hardware, software, and organizational issues are involved. Since the implementation of these projects is risky and their costs and challenges are high, they require careful management at all stages of implementation. The implementation of these systems is a complex process and requires a combination of technical management, change management and business management. Project management involves the implementation of planning, organizing, scheduling, monitoring, receiving feedback, and risk management, i.e., crisis prevention and the prevention of great deviation from the budget and time schedule. Considering the experience of this center in the implementation of this type of systems and also in employing plans and strategies according to ASAP methodology and project management standards, the endeavor is to consider the scale, complexity, and other characteristics of a project in order to form the actual processes of project management and make the project controllable and manageable. These complexities have been studied with high precision and effective ways will be deployed to conduct these processes during the implementation of the project.
Supervision Framework

As a supervisor, Mapna’s Rafsys Center has defined the range of its activities and regulatory measures in the following framework and has offered its own operational strategies and differentiation structure for project implementation.
- Controlling and monitoring the range of projects
- Controlling and monitoring the quality of actions carried out in projects according to approved standards
- Controlling and supervising the methodology, description of services, approved processes of the project, and providing expert comments
- Controlling and monitoring all project management plans, quality management plans and other approved management plans in addition to offering expert comments
- Providing periodic and case reports to the employer
- Controlling and monitoring all opportunities, models, standards, and tools used for documentation activities in the project by the implementer and providing expert comments
